If there's one thing that cheers us up here at indy100, it's a Brexiteer getting owned. And, perhaps even above that, it's a Brexiteer owning themselves.
Well, we're in luck.
Arch Brexiteer, right-wing pundit, Talk-Radio presenter and Daily Express columnist Julia Hartley-Brewer has well and truly owned herself - and it's perfect.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Dyson, the British bagless vacuum company, will be upping sticks and moving their headquarters from Malmesbury, Wiltshire, to Singapore in Asia, when Britain leaves the EU.
The irony of this move? Oh yes, Sir James Dyson is a staunch Brexiteer, and was active in the 'Leave' campaign back in 2016.
Taking to Twitter, Brewer decided to wade into the debate, and profess her support for Sir Dyson's decision to move his headquarters.
In a tweet, she wrote:
Global Britain
Needless to say, she got well and truly owned for this blatant hypocrisy.
But then, the 'self-own' was taken to the absolute next level...
Hartley-Brewer attempted to defend herself...
But it just didn't quite cut it.
Other eagle-eyed Twitter users didn't waste time pulling Hartley-Brewer up on her hypocrisy.
One even asked her to condemn Dyson...
Alas, nothing.
Well, Julia, do you need some ice for that burn?
