There’s been much to digest following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, with the couple sharing many revelations about the royal family.

Unsurprisingly many public figures have had a lot to say since the two-hour special aired this week. Late-host Jimmy Kimmel had some choice words for the royals after it was revealed that racism played a “large part” in why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK.

“You know things are bad in Buckingham Palace if they came to America to get away from racism,” the presenter joked during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue on Monday night. “It’s like trying to get some peace and quiet at Chuck E. Cheese.”

Kimmel was responding to some of the more shocking allegations that aired during the Oprah Winfrey special, where Meghan Markle went into detail about her treatment by the British press and some members of the royal family.

In one particularly shocking reveal, Markle told Oprah there had been “concerns and conversations” from a member of the royal family about “how dark” the couple’s future children would be.

Kimmel was clearly taken aback by the revelation and delivered some brutal royal jokes in Markle’s defense.

“Imagine after centuries of inbreeding, all of a sudden these people are concerned about the colour of a baby’s skin,” he said. “No offence, they should hope that the baby looks more like Meghan than Harry.”

While public figures continue to debate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive revelations, Buckingham Palace is yet to comment on the allegation regarding Archie’s skin colour.
