A man who claimed he wouldn’t be arrested for hurling racist abuse has been arrested for just that.
James Rhodes has been charged with the hate crimes of aggravated menacing and ethnic intimidation after a viral video showed him shouting at Kiauna Larkins and her 3-year-old daughter and saying he would “blow your f***ing head off”.
The footage showed Rhodes leave his car and approach Larkins, who filmed the incident:

The incident happened in Rhodes’s apartment complex, where Larkins had been delivering food.
In separate footage, another woman was seen defending her and calling Rhodes “racist” and suggesting that the police should be called.
Rhodes bragged: “What are they going to do, arrest me?”
Spoiler: The police arrested him.
Reacting to the incident Stow Mayor John Pribonic said it was “unfortunate and despicable”.
He added: “As a Stow resident for over 25 years, it saddens me to think that this incident could in any way define our City for those who are otherwise unfamiliar with Stow. The community that I know and love absolutely condemns the behaviour displayed on the video, and instead, chooses the principles of kindness, tolerance and inclusivity to guide our daily actions and beliefs.
“Let me be clear - there is no place for violence, racism or intolerance in the City of Stow.”
Meanwhile, posting on Instagram, Wyndham Ridge Apartments, where Rhodes lives said they had asked him to leave the premises due to his actions.
