People are realising just how many Hollywood actors are related and it's sparked a debate about nepotism

We’ve all heard the saying: Sometimes it’s more about who you know than what you know.

And it can be easy to forget just how connected Hollywood celebrities are – not just who they socialise with but who they’re related to as well.

But one Twitter thread is helping people put two and two (and sometimes three) together.

Twitter user @dollarbinbran started a long thread of random celebrity relatives and it’s really making people think.

For example, the thread kicks off with Knives Out actor Jamie Lee Curtis and her mother – star of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho – Janet Leigh.

Other celebrity relatives include Julia Roberts and her niece Emma Roberts, Quincy Jones and his daughter Rashida Jones, Stellan Skarsgård and his son Bill Skarsgård, Whitney Houston and her cousin Dionne Warwick, Melissa McCarthy and her cousin Jenny McCarthy, Angelina Jolie and her dad Jon Voight, Maya Rudolph and her mother Minnie Riperton, Steven Tyler and his daughter Liv Tyler, Goldie Hawn and her daughter Kate Hudson – to name a few.

There’s even instances of three generations of stars, with celebrities like Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher and Billie Lourd.
