A woman who was being harassed in East London by a man who wouldn't take no for an answer has shared a story about the woman who helped her out with a clever gambit.
Amna Saleem was waiting for her boyfriend to finish work and join her for dinner when a man allegedly approached her.
He refused to accept she wasn't interested.
Amna tried to remain polite and was grateful when a passing woman intervened.
Amna, a former writer for BuzzFeed, told Mashable:
He looked annoyed and awkwardly hung about before finally leaving.
She said she thanked the woman who helped her and invited her to join her and her friends.
Her tweet has since gathered over 100,000 retweets and over 500,000 likes.
