Just a day after Greta Thunberg took a shot at Donald Trump on his way out of the White House, the teenage climate change activist is back at it, this time trolling outspoken Republican Senator, Ted Cruz.
One of Joe Biden’s first acts as president was to sign an executive order that would reintroduce the United States into the Paris Climate Agreement, something which Trump had removed the nation from as president, claiming that is was a ‘crime’ against the United States.
Now that the US will be reintroduced to the agreement, Republicans are once again up in arms at the thought of trying to save the planet from the impact of global warming.
Cruz, who ran against Trump in the 2016 primaries, has been more critical of the Democrats in recent weeks and supported Trump’s baseless conspiracy theories about voter fraud. As part of his ongoing mission to undermine Biden, he slated the move to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement but did so in a bizarre way.
Perhaps displaying how little he understands about the agreement, Cruz complained on Twitter that “President Biden indicates he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh.”

Somebody should probably tell Cruz, a 50-year-old man, that this is just the name of the agreement. It doesn’t favour Paris over any other city in the world. It is supposed to benefit the entire planet.
Thankfully, we have Greta Thunberg who never misses a beat when it comes to embarrassing old men on social media. The Swedish activist wrote, “So happy that USA has finally rejoined the Pittsburgh Agreement. Welcome back!”

In our books, this puts Thunberg 2-0 up over Republicans this week. Quite an effort for just a teenager.
Needless to say, people loved it.
