The UK is the ninth most generous country in the world.
This is according to the CAF's World Giving Index 2016, which is a leading study on global generosity.
The index measures the average percentage of people in each country who donate money, volunteer or help a stranger, and for the 2016 index 140 countries were surveyed.
For the third year in a row, Myanmar was found to be the most generous country in the world.

China was found to be the least generous country of those surveyed, followed by Palestine, Yemen and Greece.
The most improved countries in the index were Turkmenistan, Kosovo and Peru, while Iraq topped the index for helping a stranger.
