An American woman has been fired from her food bank job after being caught on camera shouting “you’re not the right colour” to her Black neighbour.
In dramatic recorded footage, two women are seen shouting at each other on the front porch of a house before the white woman yells “you’re not the right colour, honey” to her neighbour.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Laquetta Good, the Black woman involved in the incident, said they were arguing about their children not getting along.
She said: “I feel like a prisoner in my own home. She had called me many names before but to hear her being racist, that really shocked me.
“You should be able to feel comfortable in your own home. This is not acceptable. We still have a long way to go as a society for equality.”

The incident, which is said to have taken place in Colonial Heights, Virginia, shows the Black neighbour repeatedly saying: “I’m an n*****?”
“Yes, you are,” the other woman responds.
Kim Hill, the CEO of Chesterfield Food Bank where the white woman worked, described the incident as “sad and unfortunate” and confirmed the woman – who hasnot been named – had been fired.
In a statement posted on Facebook, she wrote: “We, here at the CFB, are broken hearted to view this conduct as it goes directly against our values and beliefs.”
She added: “In response to this situation, we have terminated this employee. We remain committed to creating and providing a positive, uplifting and encouraging environment for our staff, volunteers, and clients.”
We can only hope that incidents like these don’t happen again.
