Note: We have referred to Bruce Jenner with male pronouns in this story as he has indicated this is his preference until his transitioning is complete.
Kim Kardashian has given her first interview since her stepfather, the former decathlete Bruce Jenner, revealed he was a woman.
Speaking to ABC about Bruce's gender transition, she said he had "the biggest heart" and she supported him "100 per cent".
I'm really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it and that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness. I don't know what life would be like if you just felt you weren't yourself. And I know it's not something that you or I could fully understand but I don't even think we have to. I think as long as he is happy and he wants to live his life however he wants to live it that just makes me happy. I support him 100 per cent.
Kardashian added that while it was a "hard adjustment" all members of the family, including her mother Kris, supported Bruce. "We all really support him," she said. "We have been talking to the GLAAD organisation and different organisations on what we do call him? Do we say him or her? How do we be respectful? There's so many things."
