Elections in the UK can only mean two things: cute dogs and, after this week, milkshakes.

After days of arguing about the latter, European Parliament election day is finally here, so we can focus on the warm fuzziness of people bringing their dogs to polling stations. Thank goodness for that, because dogs are much less controversial than milkshakes are these days.

Seeing as this might be the last time the UK will vote in EU parliament elections, people have marked the occasion in style…

Whereas others let the cuteness of their dogs do all the talking.

Others accompanied their snaps with a political message.

But it's not just dogs who were out in force to support democracy. Goats got in on the action too.
