It wasn’t clear exactly what the last thing we needed today was, but thankfully eccentric tech billionaire and very uncool man, Elon Musk, has come through by releasing an EDM song that claims the title.
Musk is the founder of Tesla, a company that make cars for very rich people and confusingly are worth a lot despite not seeming to actually be very popular.
They also are trying to go to the moon because, money.
Supposedly Elon Musk is a genius and entrepreneur. He’s certainly a billionaire. And now he’s making a play to add "bad musician" to his stable of titles, with the release of a bizarre EDM track titled “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe”.
Dropped on Soundcloud by Musk this morning (who changed his Twitter display name to “E “ D “ M in celebration), the track is four minutes long, with production and vocals by the man himself (it shows!)
It’s not the worst thing ever. But it's pretty close.
When you remember the man responsible for intoning “Don’t doubt your vibe/because it’s true,” is actually a 48-year tech boss, who has a history of desperately seeking attention, it becomes more embarrassing.
Perhaps Musk’s musical inclinations have been influenced by partner Grimes who is, after all, a critically acclaimed musician.
Or maybe Grimes would rather this particular creative venture was not attributed to her. Just a thought!
Oh well, at least Elon’s foray into an already tedious musical genre is a more productive use of time than calling child rescuer bad names.
Or (attempting) to smoke dope to fit in with the cool kids.
Shine on, you crazy, exceptionally wealthy, diamond.
