During an interview on Sunday with Fox News, president Trump promised to look into the existence of UFOs.
The Fox News host, Maria Bartiroma, asked Trump about UFOs because of a Department of Defense announcement that a new body had been launched to look into unexplained sightings.
She questioned the president about this and point-blank asked: “Are there UFOs?”

He replied: “I’m going to have to check on that. I mean, I’ve heard that. I heard that two days ago, so I’ll check on that.”
He continued:
I’ll take a good, strong look at that.
The president then went off on a tangent and discussed the strength of the military.
He said: "I will tell you this, we have now created a military, the likes of which we’ve never had before. In terms of equipment, the equipment that we have, the weapons that we have. I hope to God we never have to use them."
The task force, formed by the US Department of Defense, was set up to investigate “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs) and UFOs.
Called ‘The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF)', it was launched in early August. Its main focus is on unexplained sightings that could pose a threat to US national security.
People were astonished by the conversation.
