How magazines around the world have reacted to Trump's first days in office

To say it's been an interesting start for Donald Trump as President would be a bit of a gargantuan understatement.

We've had protests around the world to against his immigration ban on a number of Muslim majority countries, Sally Yates was fired for simply doing her job, and the nominee for the Supreme Court has a decidedly worrying past.

It's with this in mind, that we turn to the newsstands, to see how the world's press has been covering the former leader of the free world.

The Economist, who set the bar exceedingly high with their last cover, went with 'An Insurgent in the White House'.

In their issue, they describe the fallout from "the first Molotov cocktail of policies and executive orders," which Donald Trump 'lobbed' at Washington.

The New Yorker featured John W. Tomac’s distressing “Liberty’s Flameout” image for their 92nd-anniversary cover.

In their coverage Tomac comments:

It used to be that the Statue of Liberty, and her shining torch, was the vision that welcomed new immigrants. And, at the same time, it was the symbol of American value.

Now it seems that we are turning off the light.

On the cover of Bloomberg Businessweek's latest edition, Donald Trump is holding out an executive order.

The order states:

Meanwhile, the excellent designers over at Der Spiegel have depicted Trump as a knife-wielding psychopath holding the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty.
