Boris Johnson has confirmed that that controversial plans for the HS2 high-speed rail link will go ahead as with a full-time minister set to be appointed to oversee the scheme.
This announcement will more than likely disappoint Johnson's special adviser Dominic Cummings, who had previously aired his misgivings about the project calling it a "disaster zone."
When pressed on the subject by a BBC reporter on his doorstep, 48-year-old father of one, Cummings came up with several bizarre references to the Disney children's TV show PJ Masks.
Questioned on whether HS2 will be given the green light later today he said:
The night time is the right time to fight crime. I can’t think of a rhyme.
That is a lyric from the shows theme tune which you can listen to below (Obviously it's very catchy).
He actually misquoted the song by saying 'night-time' rather than 'bedtime' which is the correct line.
When asked if he had lost influence in the government and over the prime minister he said:
I think we need PJ masks on the job. PJ Masks. They’re your guys.
Later adding
PJ Masks will do a great job than all of them put together.
We're not entirely sure what Cummings is trying to imply here but him advocating for cartoon superheroes to replace the current lot in the cabinet isn't the worst thing he's ever suggested.
This clip has already become something of a viral hit and people seem legit baffled as to what is going on.
Also, why is the outside of his house such a mess?
Amazingly, the first episode of PJ Masks is about a new fast train that goes missing...
However, it was probably a perfectly fitting analogy.
'Every day we stray further from God's light.'
