You would think that Piers Morgan, who has sadly become the master of stupid jokes on Twitter, would leave a 92-year-old man alone.
Yet on Saturday morning, the Good Morning Britain presenter decided to take a dig at legendary actor Dick Van Dyke, more specifically at his name, tweeting:
Imagine being called Dick Van Dyke in the PC-crazed era? Poor guy, He'll have to change his name to Rich Van Non-Binary-Gender-Fluid
Morgan manages not only to be misogynistic with this tweet but also homophobic – it also really doesn't make that much sense.
But the 92-year-old comedian who first rose to fame after appearing in the original Mary Poppins film (and who just recently also starred alongside Emily Blunt in Mary Poppins Returns), responded with a perfect screenshot from his Nineties comedy series Diagnosis Murder in which he looks pretty unimpressed:
It seems that Van Dyke has learned that sometimes, when it comes to internet trolls like Piers, you're better off saying nothing at all.
