A teacher from Dallas was fired because her it came to light she had been in porn films.
But now, Resa Woodward is fighting back. She says she was forced into “sex slavery,” and wants her job back.
The sixth-grade science teacher is appealing to the Texas Education Agency against the all-girls school she worked in. The school fired her after her past became public, and said her previous work, which was available online, cast the school in a negative light, according to Dallas News.
In her appeal letter, obtained by The Dallas Morning News, Woodward said she was forced into “sex slavery” by the older man she was living with, but eventually managed to leave the situation.
She wrote:
Young, stupid and afraid, I complied to avoid his wrath.
Only a woman who has been through such a horrifying experience could fully understand, but I’m asking you to understand and re-consider the terrible charges being brought against me, the victim of an abusive past.
Please tell me this is not the end.
Do not penalize me for a dark saga in my youth that was not of my making.
Woodward appeared in 16 adult films all together, according to Dallas News, but stopped in 2001.
She said she had since received much praise for her work as a teacher.
