Alongside people puking on the curb and sobbing into their kebabs, you might be able to see a comet as you welcome in the New Year.

The Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory has said that a few lucky people might be able to catch a glimpse of Comet 45P/ Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova, which has a blue-ish green head

According to the space boffins, the comet will be visible near the moon, just make sure you're in an area away from too much light.

Nasa posted a video on Instagram:

You can keep up-to-date with its whereabouts on The Sky Live.
