Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy mock each other again with ‘coffee run’ jibe

Coleen Rooney has appeared to mock Rebekah Vardy for ‘staging’ paparazzi photos with coffee.

Posting on Twitter, Rooney shared an emoji sequence appearing to suggest that Vardy’s assertion that she does not set up photographers to catch her out for a caffeine hit was not the case.

It came as Vardy defended herself after critics said she had invited paparazzi to London Zoo with her children. Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “I don’t lie about set up pictures (unlike some) everyone does it…. and just for anyone wondering I didn’t make any financial gain off any of the pictures taken.”

She explained that she was invited to the zoo and in return, she allowed pictures to be taken, saying that businesses “thrive off PR”.

She added to a friend: “Maybe I should start doing fake coffee run pics,” which appeared to be a dig at Rooney who is often photographed holding coffee.

It comes as the latest battle in a long lasting war between the two. Vardy is suing Rooney for defamation over her allegations that Vardy’s Instagram account was responsible for leaking fake stories about her to the press.

Coleen and Rebekah will resume their High Court battle in September, after a judge ordered Rebekah to pay £10,500 towards her rival’s legal costs.
