A BBC News guest has left viewers impressed after effortlessly shrugging off her cat leaping into shot in the middle of a live interview.

The guest was giving her take on the Prince Harry phone-hacking trial, when the cat appeared to throw itself at the laptop screen.

However, instead of reacting, the guest simply grabbed it, wrestled it back down, and carried on as if nothing had happened.
