People often believe that those living in cities don’t help others, but a video circulating on Twitter shows that that’s not always true.
The video, filmed in New York, shows a group of strangers lifting an SUV off a woman who’s trapped underneath.
The woman, who was apparently just trying to cross the road with bags of groceries, suddenly found herself hit by the car.
She told News 4:
I remember I was on the sidewalk, the car came, the car hit me. I was completely under the car.
After she was hit, dragged and pinned by the SUV, both of her legs became stuck under the wheels. She says that she was conscious the entire time.
More than a dozen onlookers rushed in to help and managed to pull the car off Veronika, who somehow walked away without any broken bones or serious injuries.
Luckily, she’s going to make a complete recovery.
