People are obsessed with this soothing footage of capybara taking a hot bath

It’s cold outside and everything in the world seems pretty bleak.

From the impending climate crisis to the rise of the far-right, there’s not many reasons to feel cheerful and chilled.

That is, except for this incredible video of a group of capybara taking a nice hot bath.

The video of these adorable furry creatures has been doing the rounds on social media because, frankly, it’s an absolute mood. It’s the energy we should all be bringing into 2020. It's not clear who put them in the bath or who took the video but, if you're out there, we salute you.

The capybara is a mammal native to South America. It holds the title of being the largest living rodent in the world.
