The world is watching in with baited breath as a mob of angry Trump stormed the Capitol building in Washington DC.
At a rally outside the building earlier today, Trump gave a speech to his supporters and again refused to concede the election. After being riled up by Trump, protesters clashed with police and eventually broke into the Capitol building. Inside were Senators, members of Congress and even Mike Pence as legislators voted to certify Joe Biden’s election victory.
At present, outlets are reporting that one woman has been shot and a police officer has been taken to hospital. DC’s police chief says protesters deployed ‘chemical irritants on police’ to gain access to the Capitol building.
As the chaos has unfolded, there has been no shortage of shocking imagery that has left people speechless. The images have made their way across the world in seconds, leaving jaws dropped in their path.
