Sheffield's lord mayor hilariously mocks Theresa May's Brexit deal with Valentine's Day message

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Magid Magid is on the lookout for love on Valentine's Day and is hoping to have more success than Theresa May has had with Brexit.

In a post shared on Twitter on Wednesday, the 29-year-old who was elected in May last year and immediately became a sensation declared that he was still in the single market.

He added that although he was worried at the 'Brexit s**tstorm' he is hoping to strike a better deal than the one secured by Theresa May with the European Union.

A picture accompanied the tweet with Magid wearing a t-shirt bearing the words 'I don't know about 'EU but I'm still in the single market #BrexitBae.'

Magid's message soon won a lot of praise and respect, with many backing his message on Brexit and others offering him for a date.

Speaking to Indy100, Magid gave a statement outlining why Valentine's Day is a great way to forget about the Brexit shambles.

Brexit is leaving a lot of people feeling like s**t and concerned about the future. But days like today are great to try and forget all the mess.

I just wanted to let people know that although we might be leaving the single market, me and many others were still in the 'single market' this Valentine's Day, and thought I'd have some fun with it as a lot of people can relate.

Valentine's Day is focused on couples and just wanted to give a shoutout to the many singletons out there who were still in the single market.
