Boris Johnson is getting his anecdotes all mixed up.
The prime minister told reporters that the government has an “oven ready meal” that he intends to put in the microwave.
What? Why doesn’t he put it in the oven- never mind.
Visiting another NHS facility, Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, he said:
After three-and-a-half years, it was perfectly obvious to me that this parliament is just not going to vote Brexit through.
There are just too many people who are basically opposed to Brexit and want to frustrate it.
And then he said:
We have an oven ready deal, let's put it in the microwave, as soon as we get back after the election on 12 December.
There is some confusion over the logistics of sticking an oven-ready meal in a microwave.
Have we been doing it wrong the whole time?
[Spoiler alert: No]
Others are questioning if Boris even knows how to use a microwave.
Despite people's Brexit fatigue, a few mustered up some chuckles at his expense.
And there are those who believe his analogy for Brexit is perfect.
