A man has been arrested after hacking into a giant advertising billboard and broadcasting porn to thousands of people stuck in a traffic jam.
The 24-year-old IT analyst could face up to 12 years in jail after admitting to the crime at a court in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital.
Reports suggest motorists were "left both shocked and amused" after five minutes of a Japanese pornographic film called 'Watch Tokyo Hot' were played.
Several images of the incident were posted to social media before authorities managed to cut off power to the screens.
Reports suggest the man hacked into the system after seeing log-in details displayed on the billboard.
While he claims he worked alone, police are unsure.
We are still investigating whether he was working alone, whether he had a particular motive or whether he was just fooling around.
- Jakarta Police Chief Muhammad Iriawan, speaking to AFP
According to the BBC, the perpetrator could be imprisoned for six years under the Electronic Transaction Law or 12 years under the Pornography Law. Access to pornography is banned in Indonesia.
