A baby’s first word is usually something simple like “hi”, “mama” or “dada”, so you can imagine one mother’s shock when her baby’s first words were “alright bruv”.
Parents Carmen Bish, 22, and Keiren Parsons, 26, couldn’t believe it when their nine-month-old son Bode uttered his first words.
Carmen, from Kent, said: “Bode, Keiren and I were just chilling together. He was on his changing table chatting away so I got my camera out and filmed him.
“We didn’t even notice at first! We were showing my parents the video and I thought I heard him say something, so I played it again and we all burst out laughing.

Carmen’s family encouraged her to share the clip online, so she went about setting up a TikTok account.
She posted the video on a Saturday morning in November and thought nothing more of it. On Monday, however, Keiren’s colleagues mentioned the video had around 50,000 views.
Carmen said: “He came home and told me, so I decided to download the app again. By the time I’d checked it was up to one millions views!"
Since it was posted on 6 November, the clip now has over two million hits.
TikTokers loved the clip, with the video garnering more than 345,000 likes and 4,400 comments.
One of the comments reads: “Well he’s going to be a roadman”.
Another joked: “Yeah I’m good g.”
Others said it was the “most British thing” they’ve ever seen, with one commenting: “Tell me you’re British without telling me you’re British”.
This isn’t the first baby we’ve seen recently who has made us smile. We previously shared a video of a dog who was confused when a two-month-old baby wouldn’t play fetch with him, and we also wrote about a three-month-old who is now a social media star thanks to his luscious locks.
We wonder what Bode’s reaction will be when he finds out what his first words were!
