An outrageous newspaper error that probably isn't even an error

This newspaper column illustrates just how important sub-editors are, and how badly wrong things can go when they seemingly abandon their posts.

This is a picture of a column by conservative commentator Tim Blair that appeared in Sydney tabloid the Daily Telegraph on Monday.

In a serious story about Australian teenagers joining Isis, a youth worker quoted in the article is ridiculed just on the basis of his name.

What makes this a whole lot worse is that that it apparently isn't a case of copy being printed accidentally - it was meant to be published, and you can still read the offensive bit online.
