It’s the most wonderful (and divisive) night of the year: the Emmy Awards.

Last night, the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards aired, and people have pretty conflicting opinions on how they feel about the results.

On the one hand, Fleabag won big, with Phoebe Waller Bridge taking home best leading comedy actress, best comedy series and best comedy writing. People were pretty thrilled about that, naturally, and nobody seemed to mind that Game of Thrones took home best drama.

But one decision – or, well, omission – left fans absolutely reeling.

Amy Adams, star of HBO’s Gillian Flynn adaptation Sharp Objects, failed to win any Emmys for her performance.

Fans took to Twitter over the outrage, with one saying, “Amy Adams lost? SHE’S LITERALLY THE EMBODIMENT OF TALENT” and another crying out, “Amy Adams didn't win.......AGAIN”.

Unfortunately for Adams, she has become known for not winning awards, having been nominated six times for an Oscar but never won. Though, thankfully, people were showing her lots of love on Twitter.
