It seems that no one is immune from being attacked by Trump on Twitter, but the thin-skinned president always responds in the pettiest way whenever he is personally insulted.
So after conservative pundit Ann Coulter said in an interview that he will have been a “joke presidency”, naturally Trump unfollowed her on Twitter.
Coulter, a former Trump supporter, accused the president of failing to deliver on his promise to build a wall on the US-Mexico border in a podcast interview with The Daily Caller.
Asked if Americans should re-elect the president, she said:
Why would you?
Trump will just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populists for a while, but he’ll have no legacy whatsoever.
A week later, Coulter posted a column on her website describing Trump as “gutless”.
She wrote:
It is now crystal clear that one of two things is true: Either Trump never intended to build the wall and was scamming voters all along, or he has no idea how to get it done and zero interest in finding out.
He's not interested in doing anything that would require the tiniest bit of effort.
In the end, we'll probably find out 'wall' was Trump's 'safe word' with Stormy Daniels. It's just something he blurts out whenever he's in trouble.
On the same day that Coulter published her blog post, @TrumpsAlert Twitter account tweeted that Trump had either unfollowed or blocked her.
But surprisingly, Trump didn’t make any public statement or social media post after his “following” tally dropped.
Coulter’s criticism comes as congress refuses to provide enough funding to construct the presidents long-promised wall on the US-Mexico border.
Trump can dish it out, but he definitely can’t take it.
