But as Anthony Carbajal, who has been diagnosed with ALS, points out in this video - the ice bucket challenge has raised millions of pounds and immeasurable awareness to tackle a devastating, debilitating, deadly disease that pharmaceutical companies have so far failed to find a cure for.
