There was celebration all over the US on Friday when the Supreme Court lifted all existing restrictions on gay marriage.
In a historic decision on Friday the justices voted 5-4 in favour of letting gay couples become part of an institution which "embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family."
The 15 states who outlaw same-sex marriage will now have to overturn those bans.
While notoriously grouchy Justice Antonin Scalia was most unhappy with the decision, taking shots at hippies, Ivy Leaguers, Californians and even his own marriage in his statement of dissent, the rest of the world exploded in a frenzy of joy and rainbows:
