Since the amazing '100 years of female beauty' video was released last year, there have been scores of remakes.
We've seen beauty standards evolve over a century for black women, North and South Korean women, and how Halloween costumes, lingerie and men's fashion have changed as well.
But blogger Karolina Żebrowska noticed a recurring theme with the videos. All the styles they show are people dressed to the nines - but what about what women wore and how they did their hair and make up on a normal day?
Real, working life in the first half of the 20th century was not always quite so glamorous, as her video shows:
On YouTube, Zebrowska wrote:
[These videos] all have seemed to show beauty standards in a very stereotypical and pop-culture way, so I wanted to do a more historically accurate one.
