Police in Chicago are on the lookout for a group of burglars who stole $100,000 from a Louis Vuitton store in a shopping mall while the guard was on a break.

On Wednesday, the supposed criminals strolled into the high-end store a few people at a time at the Oakbrook Center, a western suburb of Chicago.

The armed guard went on a quick break, according to a FOX 32 report.

The thieves were reportedly strategic in their operation as a few of the perpetrators were dropped off in various places around the mall.

Once all 14 criminals entered the luxury store, they began to swipe everything they could get their hands on.

The guard returned from the break and tried to prevent them from leaving, but they soon fled the scene.

The high-end brand’s handbags can sell for $3,000 or more.

Oak Brook Police said that detectives have license plate numbers and vehicle information about the suspects.

“[We have] vehicle descriptions, even close-up photos of license plates, so we’re nailing down all those leads now, our detectives are out working those leads,” Oak Brook Police Chief James Kruger said to reporters, according to the outlet.

This robbery is the most recent case that a luxury store had products stolen.

Just last Friday, the Chicago Tribune reported that thieves took around $15,000 in cologne from an ULTA beauty store located in Oak Brook.

And last month, robbers stole thousands of dollars worth of purses from a Bottega Venetta store near Chicago’s Magnificent Mile.
