Donald Trump has delivered his second State of the Union address, and he used it to strike a bipartisan tone of unity and progress, just weeks after the longest government shutdown in history.

He also talked about his favourite topics including immigration, the economy, drug prices and national security, while also asking Americans to 'choose greatness'.

However, all anyone on Twitter wanted to talk about was his crooked tie that took a turn to the left, as it was tucked under his jacket.

People on Twitter found the whole thing, well, very distracting...

Is the left of centre tilt a secret message?

Or a sartorial hat-tip to high-end couture?

Others ran with the 'crooked' jokes.

While some found the whole thing hilarious.

Is it a synecdoche for his entire presidency?

Interestingly enough, Trump's own line of ties was manufactured in China. Make America Great Again, right?
