It's always awkward when adults try and get 'down with the kids', however, this sociology professor's list of slang words that he learns from his students is causing a stir online.
Taking to Twitter, one of his students shared the list, alongside the tweet:
My sociology professor keeps an alphabetic list of new slang terms he learns from students and I will never get over it.
The column on the left features words and phrases such as 'big mad', 'slay', and 'put someone on' (no, us neither), and in the right-hand column, the professor has written out what they mean in a generally wholesome and kindly way.
Many other social media users loved the slang terms dictionary.
Others loved the fact it was called a 'Generation Z' dictionary.
Famous last words...
That ain't it.
After it went viral, the professor even kept a tally on the board of likes and shares.
This was felt on a spiritual level.
Another said that we've come a long way since 2014.
If you're looking for a dose of 'wholesome' to get your weekend off to a good start, then you've come to the right place! Drink it up!
