Liam Neeson's heartwarming story about a horse is the light we need in this dark, dark world

Stuff on the internet isn’t all doom and gloom, and a cute Liam Neeson story is making people fall for him even more.

The 66-year-old actor revealed that he leaves such an impression on animals, a horse he was working with remembered him when they met again.

Speaking at the New York Film Festival about his new movie The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, he told Page Six: “I play a travelling impresario. We filmed in New Mexico. The odd thing is the horse who pulls my wagon knew me.”

You won’t believe it. I’m saying this horse knew me. He actually remembered me from another Western we made a while back. I love animals. When we worked together before I took special care of him. I fed him treats. Gave him apples.

Too cute.

And how did he know the horse recognised him?

“[The horse] whinnied when he saw me. And pawed the ground,” he revealed.

Neeson didn’t say which other film he and the horse starred in together, but given that he’s only starred in two Westerns - Seraphim Falls and A Million Ways to Die in The West, it’s likely to be on one of those sets.

And he may have a point. There are a lots of studies about horses showing that they have excellent memory, and don't forget past human owners.
