Many people watching Donald Trump's wide-ranging announcement of Isis leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's death likely found themselves fondly remembering the tenure of Barack Obama, or even that of Nixon and the Bushes.
As the president freewheeled about his omniscience in recognising Osama bin Laden as a threat, and fawned over how attractive the former Al-Qaeda leader and his son both were, it may have further called to mind a certain address given by Mr Trump's predecessor about the death of the al-Qaeda leader.
Now Jimmy Kimmel's team has decided to mash the two speeches together, with equally hilarious and saddening results.
Mr Obama's clipped, deferential tones contrast sharply with Mr Trump's showbiz delivery boasts that the Isis leader "died like a dog" and that US forces had been smart not to knock on the front door during the raid.
Seeing the comparison up close drew varying reactions from the good people of Twitter.
There were further mashups mocking the president's delivery.
Even Piers Morgan admitted it was funny.
It was the second time in two days a comparison between the two had raised eyebrows.
