An illustrator has created a range of sassy greeting cards that accurately capture what most of us are really thinking.
UK-based Hazel Bee combines cartoons with speech bubbles to create some incredibly relatable cards.
Her drawings range from a card that highlights the realities of celebrating your birthday:
To Facebook friending etiquette:
And even inappropriate declarations of love:
Bee’s greeting cards started out as doodles in the back of a sketchbook at uni. After getting some positive feedback on her work she took some of them to a local gift shop and things went from there.
She told Mashable:
The ideas came from somewhere I can't access or explain, another room of my mind which only lets an idea poop out every so often and at irregular times, but the concepts are undoubtedly based on real life experience... or intoxications.
Everything she makes is ethically sourced too. Bee uses vegetable ink printed on 100 per cent recycled paper, and the cellophane bags are biodegradable and made from corn starch.
She added:
I wanted to create a way for people to enjoy my work without contributing to landfill, deforestation etc... in a nutshell, giving a shit about the planet was my priority.
Hazel Bee’s greeting cards are available in shops around the UK and on her website.
