Charcoal, when “activated” has been known to fight acne by drawing out impurities from the skin, including chemicals, bacteria and the day-to-day dirt your skin is exposed to.

Glen Burnie from Maryland decided to treat her face with a charcoal peel mask...

It didn’t go too well.

Burnie left the peel on her face for an hour, and when she tried to remove it, well. It hurt.

So much, in fact, her eyes were watering and her mouth spouted expletives the entire time...

Burnie tweeted the video, and within a couple of hours she'd received hundreds of retweets. So far, 130,000 people liked the video and 82,000 retweeted it.

Someone pointed out an informative Amazon review about the face mask...

But most people, predictably, laughed...
