Twitter's CEO Dick Costolo is standing down - and Snoop Dogg has said he will happily replace him.
The rapper tweeted about his interest in the role, decreeing that his first order of business would be to “get that moolah!”.
As the hashtags #SnoopforCEO and #IfSnoopWasTwitterCEO trended on Thursday, Twitter saw a brief eight per cent rise in stock - in what we can only hope is a public backing for the 43-year-old rapper.
Jack Dorsey, Twitter's co-founder, is set to become interim chief executive after Costolo’s sudden departutre, but users have been tweeting in support of Snoop Dogg for the role instead.
Costolo leaves Twitter as the social network reports 302 million monthly active users.
