Ross Kemp spent a week in Barlinnie prison, Glasgow and spoke to inmates and prison guards about the life there.
Scottish viewers of Ross Kemp Behind Bars were left amused when (presumably for the benefit of the rest of the UK) the show was aired with subtitles.
According to The Daily Record, the subtitles were deemed necessary by STV executives.
Viewers of the show took to Twitter to express their mirth.
The subtitles were not used for the entire programme, only for some Glaswegian accents, although one or two viewers apparently could have done with them.
