American actor Rob Delaney is one of the biggest celebrity supporters of Labour and the NHS.

The Catastrophe and Deadpool actor, who often uses his Twitter account to talk about left-wing and progressive topics, recently shared a thread about Britain's National Health Service and how it compares to the system currently in place in the United States.

Delaney, who has lived in London since 2014, explained in his now-viral thread why the NHS is perhaps the biggest reason why he will never return to live in the US.

The 42-year-old, who has shared threads about the NHS in the past, began by explaining that he used to have private health care in the US but eventually saw how restrictive it was, compared to the fees that patients pay on the NHS, and eventually called on his fellow Americans to demand a better health care system in their own country.

The thread has been shared more than 5,000 times on Twitter and many have thanked the star for sharing his experiences, with some having similar stories.
