A comment Prince Philip made about his death has resurfaced on Twitter.
People are sharing the quote, which he reportedly said in an interview with Dutch press in 1988, and pointing out its new significance, given the coronavirus pandemic and his passing.
He said: “In the event that I am reincarnated, I would like to return as a deadly virus to contribute something to solving overpopulation.”
Given the coronavirus pandemic, which is causing excess deaths across the world, people are finding this comment rather prescient. Indeed, it previously resurfaced last year at the start of the crisis for this very reason.
Prince Philip’s death was announced on Friday and the Twitter commentariat has had this to say:
Is this what Prince Philip said????? 😲 https://t.co/vxt8ZMJlVc— Ash (@Ash) 1617970821
More evidence emerges that Prince Philip in fact died at least 2 years ago https://t.co/Ym5HU8ZhBu— Jason Okundaye (@Jason Okundaye) 1617971739
he fucking cursed us https://t.co/S4KkeDPg0F— frank (@frank) 1617970162
It is clear Prince Philip’s comments were pretty close to the bone. Thank goodness he had an alibi in 2020.
