It’s been 10 years since boyband One Direction released their first studio album, Up All Night, and their loyal fans have taken to Twitter to share their reactions on the album’s anniversary.

Released on 18 November 2011, Up All Night features hit songs like ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ and ‘One Thing’.

It was the boyband’s – made up of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson - first album after they finished in third place on The X Factor in 2010.

Quickly after, the boys went on to achieve global and critical success, winning multiple Brit and MTV Video Music awards and capturing the hearts of fans around the world.

Liam Payne posted about the ten-year anniversary on his Instagram, with a compilation of songs and videos from the Up All Night era.

The 28-year-old singer captioned the nostalgic video - which has over 5 million views on Instagram - “Ten years since our first album Up All Night. Thanks for supporting this dream for over a decade”.

Their fans also took to Twitter to share their reactions to the decade anniversary.

The band unofficially split up in 2015, after the release of their last album Made in the A.M..

This came after Zayn Malik abruptly left the band earlier in the same year.

Since their split, the One Direction boys have gone on to release individual albums and solo projects, and achieve further critical and fan successes.

Most recently, Harry Styles made his Marvel debut as villain Thanos’ brother, Eros, and announced a new cosmetics line and Niall Horan released the official Children in Need single with singer Anne-Marie.

In regards to One Direction getting back together, the former boyband members have not ruled it out – so, watch this space!
