Nude body paint model told it's 'no surprise' she was sexually assaulted. Here's her response

A culture of shame and fear surrounding sexual assault often stops women and men reporting the crimes that have been committed against them

After a wave of sexual assault allegations against numerous prominent figures in Hollywood and politics however, people have been encouraged and empowered to come forward with their own experiences. Some revealed what happened to them in the hopes of seeking legal action, while others have simply done it for their own mental health.

One woman refused to be shamed by someone who judged her for being a body paint model.

In an imgur post shared on a popular subreddit, she wrote:

Today, someone told me they weren’t surprised I had ever been sexually harassed or assaulted because I am a body paint model and I choose to bare my skin. This was my response.

She then shared a number of posed body paint pictures, with the words ‘My clothes do not determine my consent' on her skin.
