Nigel Farage has challenged Jeremy Corbyn to a debate about EU membership, following the Labour leader's challenge to David Cameron for a debate.
The Ukip leader, not wanting to be left out of anything concerning the EU, quote-tweeted the Labour leader - the Twitter alternative to jumping up and down shouting “Hey, look at me!”
Farage tweeted:
Farage’s request to debate Corbyn himself shows that he’s not keen on leaving the political spotlight, particularly before the EU referendum.
Twitter users were quick to poke fun at the Ukip leader, alluding to the fact that he’s recently shrunk back from public awareness.
Jeremy Corbyn told the Independent that he hoped Cameron would sign up to a cross-party televised debate, much like those broadcast over the general election, to discuss the main issues of the year, allowing the leaders to be questioned by the electorate.
