The first official images for the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon have been released and everyone’s going wild over Matt Smith’s new look.
The images feature members of the series’ core cast, including Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Rhys Ifans, and of course Smith.
And it’s the shots of Smith in his Prince Daemmon Targaryen garb alongside Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen that got everyone talking.
Mainly about his dodgy-looking wig.
For some his platinum eyebrows also, er, raised eyebrows...
His very appearance in the show sealed the deal, however, for wavering fans who weren’t sure if they were going to watch:
Cooke will played a character called Alicent Hightower, while Ifans plays Otto Hightower.
HBO has given “House of the Dragon” a 10-episode order with slated 2022 debut. The start of production was announced on April 26.
Game of Thrones ran on HBO from 2011 to 2019, becoming one of the most popular drama series in the world at the time of its airing.
