Lorde reignites her onion ring reviews after months of silence

Lorde has been keeping a relatively low profile in recent years, she hasn’t released an album since her 2017 sophomore LP, Melodrama.

But it appears that the pop star has been keeping up an interest outside of her critically acclaimed music: her love for onion rings.

The two-time Grammy Award winner has an Instagram account called “Onion rings Worldwide” where she shares her reviews on different onion rings she tries in her quest to find the perfect one, her account bio reads: “Every onion ring I encounter, rated.”

At the time, the account appeared to be anonymous as there was no proof that Lorde was the creator but her identity was exposed in an interview on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Her fans seem to be interested in this quest, as the account now has over 70,000 followers, and Lorde has posted nine different reviews since the profile was set up in May 2017.

The singer took a five-month break from reviews much to the disappointment of her fans, but she has now reappeared with a fresh update on a new recipe.

She appears to have found her best one yet, as her caption read: “Yoosh lads back with another ring post... these were from the Hotel Ponsonby establishment, we’re talking PICKLED onion rings which is a first for this reviewer. I totally vibe the concept— used to eat pickled onions out of the jar as a youngster— however, I think if you’re gonna go there, go there, and let acidity rather than sweetness dominate. Absolutely sensational batter, perhaps the best I’ve tried. 4/5 overall ringsperience.”

Hopefully, the lack of content in recent months means that she has been working on her third album, which she teased to fans that will be coming sometime this year.
