Kim Kardashian wore a Cher costume for Halloween. Here's what the woman herself made of it

Someone, somewhere probably self-combusted with excitement at Kim Kardashian's Halloween costume this year.

The reality star showed up dressed as her personal style icon, Cher, to George Clooney and Randy Gerber's Casamigos Halloween party on Friday.

She teased fans mercilessly in the build-up

She offered up an unpronounceable alternative name for the holiday too: Happy HallowKKWeen, everyone.

The 36-year-old came with fellow Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Jonathan Cheban, who dressed up as Sonny Bono.

The look was pretty spot on, with Sonny and Cher's appearance at the 1973 Oscars as the inspiration for the fancy dress:

This was double trouble for fans of the two style icons could not contain themselves on Twitter.

But how did Cher herself react?

The pop star's father, like Kim's, was Armenian-American so Cher celebrated their shared heritage in the tweet.

She also tagged Bob Mackie, the costume designer behind the original outfit.

If only all of us had equally convincing costumes for Halloween.
