Kanye West ‘buys a house right across the street from Kim Kardashian’ and people are cringing

Kanye West, who is now legally known as Ye, has reportedly bought a $4.5m mansion across the street from his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.

According to Daily Mail, the home is just across the street from Kardashian’s in Los Angeles, California.

The home, which has five bedrooms, is just 3,651 square feet and reportedly cost West $421,000, which was over the asking price. It also includes a stable for horses and a swimming pool.

The couple had initially lived in Kardashian’s house, which West had designed over the course of years. But after they parted ways, West gave Kardashian his interest in the home.

This is one of the many real estate deals West has made in the most recent months.

Back in September, the rapper bought a $53.7m beach house in Malibu. And in October, he listed his $3.7m former bachelor pad.

The new home purchase may be a part of West’s attempt to salvage his relationship with Kardashian, who is reportedly dating Saturday Night Live! comedian Pete Davidson.

At a recent concert with Canadian artist Drake at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, West changed the lyrics of his song ”Runaway” off of his 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

He sang these words: “I need you to run right back to me, more specifically Kimberly.”

In November, at the Los Angeles Mission’s Annual Thanksgiving event, West spoke about Kardashian and their four children.

“We’ve made mistakes. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve publicly done things that were not acceptable as a husband, but right now today, for whatever reason - I didn’t know I was going to be in front of this mic - but I’m here to change the narrative.”

At the time as well, West said he had to be by his “children as much as possible,” which may be a reason for his home purchase near Kardashian.

Despite this, West’s efforts to rekindle sparks in his relationship with Kardashian have not been embraced by the reality star.

Kardashian filed for divorce and stated that reconciliation wouldn’t be “of any value at this time”. 

And in a report from TMZ,  she submitted documents to the court to ask for her marital name to be dropped, which would make her legally single.

People on Twitter had a lot to say about West buying a home in close proximity to Kardashian - with many imagining him being unable to draw his eyes away from the house, and others saying they find it all a little odd.
